Gujarat Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA)

The Gujarat Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) is a statutory body constituted to implement the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) Notification, 2019. GCZMA’s mandate includes conservation and protection of coastal and marine ecosystems, ensuring livelihood security for coastal communities, and promoting sustainable development in Gujarat’s 1,600 km coastline. The authority evaluates and approves projects in CRZ areas, monitors compliance, and enforces environmental safeguards.
